UBS Revises Upward Euro-Dollar Exchange Rate Projections

07/16 2025

UBS has adjusted its projections for the euro against the U.S. dollar, indicating a notable increase in expected value. This financial institution now foresees the EUR/USD pair reaching 1.21 by the close of 2025, a significant rise from its earlier estimate of 1.16. Furthermore, for June 2026, the forecast has been elevated to 1.23, surpassing the previous prediction of 1.20.

This revised outlook is largely predicated on the euro's growing appeal as a primary diversification tool for investors worldwide. As global markets seek alternatives to the dominant U.S. dollar, the euro is increasingly being positioned as a preferred currency for balancing portfolios and mitigating risks associated with over-reliance on a single currency.

The current strengthening trajectory of the euro reinforces its position as a robust currency in the international financial landscape. This positive re-evaluation by UBS underscores a broader market sentiment towards the euro's stability and potential for appreciation, making it an attractive option for those aiming to strategically reallocate their assets in the coming years.
